28 Students Graduate from Youth LEAD Georgia Leadership Program

UPDATE: Just moments ago, 28 high school students from across Georgia celebrated their graduation from the 2025 cohort of Youth LEAD Georgia, a groundbreaking leadership program. The ceremony, held on November 10 at Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, marks a pivotal moment for these young leaders who have undergone a transformative year in leadership development and civic engagement.

This year’s cohort, facilitated by the University of Georgia’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development in partnership with Chick-fil-A, saw students from 28 counties engage in intensive leadership sessions and experiential learning. Over the course of the program, participants traveled the state, connecting with local business and community leaders.

The program included five sessions, featuring four regional meetings, a weeklong bus tour, and a summer summit that united over 150 youth statewide. Thanks to a generous $1.5 million donation from Chick-fil-A, Youth LEAD Georgia is provided at no cost, ensuring accessibility for all students regardless of background.

Among the graduates, notable names include Holden Walton from Valdosta, who not only graduated but was also one of the nine students awarded the prestigious Bullard Community Champion grants. These grants empower youth to implement impactful service projects in their local communities, promoting civic responsibility and leadership.

Graduates also included:
– Mia Burnett (Sale City)
– Timothy Carter (Augusta)
– Victoria Alexis Clark (Smyrna)
– Ryan Clark (Albany)
– Brodie Combs (Grovetown)

At the graduation ceremony, participants shared their experiences and the profound impact the program had on their personal and professional growth.

“This program has changed my life,”

said Walton, reflecting on the skills learned and connections made throughout the year.

As Youth LEAD Georgia continues to grow, the next cohort is anticipated to launch in the upcoming year, offering more students the chance to engage in leadership and community service.

Stay tuned for updates on upcoming initiatives and the next generation of leaders emerging from this transformative program.
