The fierce competition unfolded in Playa Del Rey, where Crowe and St. Bernard’s Brandon Granger engaged in a high-scoring battle. By the end of the third quarter, Crowe had already netted 30 points, while Granger contributed 26 points. With 4:14 left in the third quarter, Granger was sidelined, allowing Crowe to lead a pivotal 12-4 run, extending Inglewood’s lead to as much as 17 points in the final quarter.
Crowe’s performance marks a significant milestone in his career, bringing his total to 3,957 points. “The third quarter was the separating quarter as we built the lead by playing tough defense,” Crowe stated. “Now that I’m a senior, I’m just trying to simplify the game and have fun.”
Inglewood’s offense shone brightly, with Crowe scoring eight points in the first quarter and a further 14 points in the second. Meanwhile, Granger showcased his own talent, especially in the second quarter, where he scored 18 points to finish with a team-high 28 points for St. Bernard (7-6). “I just had to stay poised,” Granger reflected. “It shows the work I have been putting in has paid off.”
As the game progressed, Inglewood’s Conerly also made his mark, contributing with two 3-pointers and a powerful dunk. “J2 really stepped it up in the second half and gave good energy,” Conerly noted, highlighting the competitive spirit between Crowe and Granger.
