New Fitness Centers Set to Energize Sugar Land and Missouri City in 2026

The Sugar Land and Missouri City areas are welcoming a diverse array of fitness centers in 2026, enhancing the local health and wellness landscape. From specialized gyms to all-encompassing sports facilities, these new venues cater to various fitness interests, ensuring that residents have ample opportunities to stay active.

24 Hour Pickle Opens Its Doors

24 Hour Pickle, a new sports venue, began operations in early February 2025 at 11717 S. Hwy. 6, Sugar Land. This facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing members access to eight courts for both competition and training. According to Community Impact, the center features a shop for equipment purchases, a sauna, a snack bar, and massage chairs. Additionally, members can enjoy recreational games such as cornhole, spikeball, ping pong, billiards, and foosball, enhancing the overall experience.

Martial Arts and Wellness Offerings

Located in the Commons at Lake Olympia shopping center, Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu opened on March 15, 2025. This international Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy provides training for individuals aged four and older through group classes and private lessons. Manager Jonathan Martindale emphasized that the facility accommodates all skill levels, from beginners to competitive fighters. The instructors come from diverse backgrounds, including some with experience in the UFC, adding a competitive edge to the training offered.

In May 2024, the Imperial Park Recreation Center introduced a new cardio and weight room, funded by the Sugar Land 4B Corporation at a cost of $168,745. This facility, which opened on May 12, 2025, offers annual memberships priced at $12.75 for residents and $191 for non-residents. The center includes a variety of equipment, such as treadmills, Pelotons, and free weights. Beyond strength training, it features basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, as well as a game room and exercise classes.

Yoga, Pilates, and Affordable Fitness

The Keep Fit Yoga Pilates studio debuted on July 27, 2025, at 4899 Hwy. 6, Ste. 118A, Missouri City. This boutique wellness center offers a wide range of yoga, Pilates, and aerial fitness classes suitable for all ages and experience levels. Founder Bella Fan noted that classes are available in both small groups and private sessions, emphasizing strength, flexibility, and inner balance.

Another addition to the fitness scene is Retro Fitness, which opened on December 2, 2025, at 11751 W. Bellfort Ave., Stafford. This company operates over 200 locations across nine states and is recognized for its high-value, low-price model. Members can access a variety of services, including group classes, personalized training, red light therapy, and a smoothie bar, all designed to foster a welcoming and supportive environment.

Upcoming Pickleball Club

Anticipation is building for the opening of the Ace Pickleball Club, scheduled for early 2026 at 19890 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land. This membership-based facility will feature 12 professional-grade cushioned courts, providing opportunities for open play, court reservations, tournaments, and group instruction. With 22 locations nationwide, Ace Pickleball Club is expanding rapidly, having opened its first Houston-area location in Magnolia in late 2024.
