Boston College Linebacker Daveon Crouch Transfers to Kansas

Boston College linebacker Daveon “Bam” Crouch has announced his commitment to the Kansas Jayhawks after entering the transfer portal. This decision, reported by college football insider Pete Nakos, comes following Crouch’s four-season tenure at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

During his time with the Eagles, Crouch participated in 33 games and recorded impressive statistics, including 107 tackles (52 solo and 55 assisted), 8.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks. His defensive prowess also included seven passes defended, two forced fumbles, and one interception. Crouch was ranked as a three-star recruit in the 2022 class and was positioned as the 1,161st nationally and the 117th linebacker according to 247Sports Composite.

Crouch’s transfer marks him as one of 29 players from Boston College who have entered the transfer portal this offseason. He is the eighth player to announce his new destination. Other notable transfers include wide receiver Reed Harris to Arizona State, and quarterback Dylan Lonergan to Rutgers.

The current transfer portal window remains open until January 16, allowing players to explore new opportunities across various college football programs. Crouch’s move to Kansas not only adds depth to the Jayhawks’ linebacker corps but also demonstrates the ongoing trend of player mobility in collegiate sports, reflecting the changing landscape of college football.
