Life and Legacy
Born on July 11, 1951, in Chillicothe, Sidney was the son of the late Elbert and Alma Crouch Webb. He was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife, Sadie Webb, and several step-children and grandchildren. Sidney’s commitment to his family extended beyond his immediate relatives; he also cherished his relationships with two sisters and a brother, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, Sidney played a significant role in his community. He owned Sids Li’l Construction Company, where he built not just structures but also lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. His service to the community was further exemplified through his role as the Sunday School superintendent at Getaway Community Church, where he dedicated many years to guiding and mentoring others.
Military and Community Contributions
A proud veteran, Sidney served in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty. His military service was a source of pride for him and his family, reflecting his commitment to serving his country.
For the past three years, Sidney attended Windsor Chapel, where he continued to be an active participant in church activities. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, influencing his actions and interactions within the community.
Sadly, Sidney faced personal losses throughout his life, including the passing of his first wife, Brenda Webb, and his siblings, Richard Webb, Aubrey Ray Webb, and Patricia Webb. These experiences shaped his resilience and compassion, traits evident in his interactions with others.
His funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on February 3, 2026, at Wallace Family Funeral Home in South Point, with Pastor Harold Hamlin officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service to share memories and offer support during this difficult time. Following the service, Sidney will be laid to rest at Getaway Cemetery in Chesapeake.
