Pim Neill, a six-year-old from Pittsburgh, has achieved remarkable success by selling an astounding 100,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, setting a new record for the organization. This achievement has not only made her a local sensation but also positioned her as a formidable competitor in the world of cookie sales.
From the outset of the cookie-selling season, Pim expressed her ambition to her father, Luke Anorak-Neill. “I want to sell the most Girl Scout cookies,” she told him, a goal that both inspired and motivated her family. With her father’s support, Pim began her campaign to knock on doors in their neighborhood, distributing flyers and reaching out to local businesses and their church community. Within just a few weeks, she achieved a significant milestone of 5,000 boxes sold.
When asked about her ultimate goal, Pim confidently declared she aimed to sell 10,000 boxes. Anorak-Neill, motivated by her enthusiasm, posted a video of her aspirations on TikTok. The clip quickly went viral, gathering over 5 million views, which dramatically boosted her sales and brought attention to her efforts.
Yet, the journey was not without challenges. Initially, Pim faced rejection from her original Girl Scout troop, which suggested she should find a different group due to her disability. Anorak-Neill was disheartened by this response but remained determined to support his daughter. He found a new troop of Daisy Scouts that welcomed Pim with open arms. This new environment proved to be pivotal, transforming the troop’s aspirations from modest camping trips to ambitious goals, including a trip to Niagara Falls for top cookie sellers.
During a recent troop meeting, leaders noted that even if Pim and her fellow scouts decided to stop selling cookies, they had already surpassed their fundraising goals. “But everybody wants to still do cookie booths and fundraise,” Anorak-Neill said. “This is fun for everybody. It’s a win for Girl Scouts.”
The enthusiastic response from the community and beyond has provided a significant emotional boost for Pim and her family. Anorak-Neill’s partner, Don Neill, has been dealing with serious health issues and is awaiting a double lung transplant. The overwhelming support for Pim has been described by Anorak-Neill as “life-changing,” showcasing the positive impact of her determination and the community’s response.
Pim’s story has resonated with many, with comments on TikTok expressing admiration for her spirit. One user remarked, “SHE IS 6 and 86 AT THE SAME TIME. OH MY GOD I LOVE HER SO MUCH.” Others have offered their support by purchasing cookies, stating, “Pim girl don’t worry I just brought 6 boxes.”
As her sales continue to climb, Pim Neill has not only broken records but also captured the hearts of those around her, demonstrating that even the youngest among us can achieve great things through hard work and determination.
