URGENT UPDATE: The stunning exhibition, Living Collection: Works on Paper by acclaimed artist Jason Eisner, is on display at St. Ambrose University’s Morrissey Gallery until April 24. This is your last chance to experience his vibrant artworks that encapsulate a busy life filled with creativity and artistic exploration.
Just confirmed, Eisner’s latest pieces reflect moments of inspiration captured “out of the corner of the eye,” often created during breaks while sitting outdoors. His unique approach has captivated art lovers and casual visitors alike, making this exhibition a must-see before it concludes.
The Morrissey Gallery, located at 2101 Gaines Street, Davenport, IA, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, providing an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in Eisner’s artistic vision at no cost.
Eisner, a native of Illinois, has spent over 30 years in New York City, where he honed his craft. He holds a BA from Knox College and a Painting Certificate from the prestigious New York Studio School. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Eisner serves as a Master Pruner and Horticulturalist at the Green-Wood Cemetery and Arboretum in Brooklyn, managing a living collection of over 8,000 trees, shrubs, and plants.
In press materials, the exhibition poses a compelling question: “When does one become an artist?” Eisner embodies the essence of this query. Throughout his life, he has consistently found ways to create art, even while balancing his professional responsibilities and family commitments.
Don’t miss your opportunity to view Living Collection before it closes on April 24. For more information, call (563) 333-6444 or visit Facebook.com/CatichGallerySAU. Share this news and invite friends to experience the transformative power of Eisner’s art!
