A tragic collision in El Cajon, California, has resulted in the death of a young driver following a crash with a box truck. The incident occurred on March 14, 2024, around 15:25 near the intersection of Broadway and Oro Street, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the box truck overturned on its side. Witnesses reported that the truck was briefly engulfed in flames. The driver of the black BMW, identified as 19-year-old Jesse Hernandez from El Cajon, was trapped inside the damaged vehicle. Emergency responders extricated Hernandez and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
