URGENT UPDATE: Halloween excitement is just around the corner! Children are invited to join acclaimed storyteller Todd Goodwin for a captivating evening at the “Halloween Campfire for Children,” taking place on Thursday, October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevens Memorial Library, located at 20 Memorial Drive, Ashburnham.
This family-friendly event promises a magical experience as Goodwin brings his storytelling talents to life. With over 45 years of experience entertaining audiences across schools and community centers, Goodwin uses the power of imagination to transport listeners to different realms. “Around the campfire, there are no costumes or sets, just the face and voice of the teller,” Goodwin explains, emphasizing the intimate connection forged through storytelling.
Goodwin, a lifelong New Englander and Fitchburg native, draws inspiration from his extensive background as a drama and history teacher, as well as his own camping adventures. His unique blend of storytelling, music, and humor encourages children to engage their imaginations and dive into the tales he shares. “I enjoy watching listeners’ faces as they use their imagination to get into a story,” he remarked. “And they always do!”
Hosted by the Friends of the Stevens Memorial Library, this free event is a perfect way for families to kick off their Halloween celebrations. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register in advance to guarantee a spot for their little ones.
