Stacey Hatfield, a popular influencer and nutritionist from Melbourne, passed away on September 29, 2025, due to an “extremely rare complication” following a home birth. Her husband, Nathan Hatfield, shared the tragic news, revealing that while their son, Axel, was safely delivered, Stacey faced unforeseen medical challenges that led to her hospitalization.
Stacey, known online as Warnecke, built a significant following through her healthy recipes and personal health journey, which she documented on her website, Natural Spoonfuls. Her focus on wellness stemmed from her own experiences with digestive issues and other health concerns. In a heartfelt statement, Nathan explained, “Stace passed on the 29th September after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home. Tragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital.”
Nathan praised the medical staff for their efforts but mourned the loss of his wife, describing her as the “light of my life.” He reflected on their nine years together, emphasizing that the happiest moment of his life was their wedding in the Maldives. “Words can’t do justice to how devastating this is for myself and everyone that knew and loved her,” he added.
Stacey’s Life and Legacy
Stacey was described by Nathan as a “child of the universe,” who valued a simple and stress-free life. She found joy in nature and cherished moments spent reading alongside their French Bulldog, Winter. According to Nathan, motherhood was a dream come true for Stacey. “It was her life’s biggest dream to be a mom. She did it on her terms, exactly the way she always dreamed of doing it,” he expressed.
Nathan shared that Stacey was deeply connected to Axel from the moment of his birth. “She held Axel when he was born, nursed him, saw that he was a boy, and loved him. She loved him so much and still continues to love him,” he said, highlighting the profound bond they shared.
Stacey’s professional achievements also left a lasting impact. In 2019, she founded Natural Spoonfuls, promoting a natural, additive-free lifestyle. She later expanded her work with the social media content creation company, Waffl, which catered to food brands. Nathan expressed pride in her accomplishments, stating, “I’m so proud of her for everything she achieved in her professional life.”
