New Bubble Tea Café Opens in Portland’s Nasons Corner

A new bubble tea café has recently opened in Portland’s Nasons Corner neighborhood, offering a range of beverages and snacks. Miss Sweet Bubble Tea, located at 897 Brighton Avenue, occupies the space formerly held by Tin Pan Bakery.

Owner Keri Li, who has an extensive background in the restaurant industry, aims to bring the global phenomenon of bubble tea to local customers. “Bubble tea is really popular everywhere in the world right now,” Li stated. “It’s a sweet drink, and it makes people happy.” The café features an array of options, including bubble teas, fruit teas, classic teas, and frozen drinks.

In addition to beverages, Miss Sweet Bubble Tea offers a selection of snacks such as pork buns, spring rolls, and crab rangoon, alongside desserts like cookies and puddings. While the café currently provides takeout service only, Li has plans to introduce outdoor seating next year.

With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, Li co-owns China Villa in Westbrook and has previously operated notable establishments like Jan Mee in Portland and Jan Mee II in Gorham.

Miss Sweet Bubble Tea is open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Wednesdays to Mondays, welcoming patrons to enjoy the sweet drinks and snacks that the café has to offer.

The opening of this new bubble tea shop aligns with a growing trend of similar establishments emerging across Maine, catering to the rising demand for unique beverage experiences.
