Urgent: Pedestrian Struck in Manchester, Faces Life-Threatening Injuries

UPDATE: A pedestrian is in critical condition following a serious crash in Manchester, where a vehicle struck her on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred at 6:47 p.m. at 288 Center St., sending shockwaves through the community as authorities respond to the emergency.

According to Sgt. Michael Williams of the Manchester Police Department, a 77-year-old man from Manchester was driving west on Center Street when he collided with a 32-year-old woman also from the area. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Hartford Hospital for urgent medical care. Her current condition remains unclear.

The driver remained at the scene and is “cooperating fully with investigators,” Williams confirmed. The police department’s Traffic Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
