Individuals facing charges at the Jamestown Municipal Court included Christian Judd Babineau-Owen, 24, who received a sentence for contempt of court and driving while his operator’s license was suspended. He was ordered to pay $375 in administrative fees, $300 in costs, and a $75 victim-witness fee, along with a 90-day jail sentence, with credit for time served.
Another case involved Ashley Jorissen, 29, from Kulm, North Dakota, who faced charges of animal cruelty. She was fined a total of $725, which included administrative fees, costs, and a victim-witness fee, while receiving a suspended sentence of five days.
In a separate ruling, Nicholas Merl Haakenson, 31, was penalized for driving in violation of restrictions, facing a total fine of $400 and a five-day suspended sentence. Similarly, Darcy Ann Steckler, 38, from Bismarck, was sentenced for driving with a revoked license, incurring fines and administrative fees totaling $750.
The court also addressed driving under the influence (DUI) cases. Steven Wade Davidson, 64, was required to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation and complete recommended treatment. His penalties included $725 in administrative fees and fines, with a suspension of four days from a five-day sentence, along with credit for one day served. Another DUI case involved Jesus Rafael Leyva-Palomo, 47, from El Paso, Texas, who received similar terms, including the same financial penalties.
In addition to these rulings, the Southeast District Court, which includes judges such as Daniel D. Narum and James Shockman, also dealt with cases involving contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly conduct. Darrell James Dauphinais Jr., 24, was sentenced to 360 days without firearm possession, alongside community service and fees totaling $350. Meanwhile, Christine E. Pfarr, 36, received a deferred imposition of sentence for disorderly conduct, requiring her to complete community service and pay associated fees.
