Authorities with the Houston Police Department confirmed that the victim, a 56-year-old man, was found unresponsive with severe injuries after being assaulted. Eyewitnesses reported that the homeless man was walking near the store when he was approached and knocked to the ground by the assailant, who arrived at the scene in a silver sedan.
