UPDATE: The 27th Annual Window Painting Project at the Children’s Service Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA is currently underway, transforming the center with vibrant holiday-themed artwork. This beloved event, held today, November 22, 2025, honors the memories of Edward Luksha and Barbara Luksha Roche, and is sponsored by the Luksha-Brown family.
Volunteers are actively participating in this festive project, painting windows with cheerful designs that capture the spirit of the season. Evelyn Migatulski, one of the dedicated volunteers, is putting the finishing touches on her holiday window featuring SpongeBob. The atmosphere is electric as community members come together to create a joyful display that brightens the center and uplifts spirits.
The event was initiated over two decades ago by Rosemary Luksha to celebrate her late brother, Edward Luksha. The project has become a cherished tradition, bringing together volunteers of all ages to share their creativity and spread holiday cheer.
