Risen Energy has signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MOU) with WEG, a leading Brazilian industrial company, to establish a global energy storage partnership. The agreement entails the provision of a 3 GWh energy storage system from 2026 to 2028, aimed at optimizing energy structures and facilitating a transition to greener, low-carbon energy solutions.
WEG, headquartered in Santa Catarina, Brazil, has been a key player in the electrical equipment manufacturing sector since 1961. With operations in over 140 countries, WEG is recognized for its expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and smart grid technologies. The company’s recent focus on energy storage and integrated energy services reflects its commitment to providing sustainable energy infrastructure on a global scale.
Risen Energy, with two decades of experience in the lithium battery industry, specializes in energy storage solutions, including power conversion systems (PCS), battery management systems (BMS), and energy management systems (EMS). Its Energy Storage Battery System was the first in China to achieve UL9540A certification in both the United States and China, highlighting its commitment to quality and safety.
Through advanced technology, Risen has developed innovative battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions that cater to various applications. These include renewable energy integration, peak shaving, frequency regulation, demand response, backup power, and microgrid support.
