Mary L. Bowman, a cherished matriarch, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 99. Her passing marks the end of a long and fulfilling life, during which she was known for her deep love for family and friends. Mary is survived by her children, Ron and Gloria Murillo, along with her grandsons, Anthony Murillo and Ron Jr., as well as seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Lois and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary resided at Marian Cerenity Care in St. Paul since October 2020, where she received dedicated support and companionship. Her family expressed profound gratitude for the care she received, particularly from her grandson, Tony, and her niece, Kathy.
A celebration of Mary’s life is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at 11 AM at the O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, located at 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share their stories of a life well-lived. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Tony, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony, her son Dennis, granddaughter Cissy, and her brother, Bud. Her legacy continues through the love she instilled in her family, who will carry her spirit with them forever.
Mary’s life serves as a reminder of the importance of family and love, values she embodied throughout her years. As those who knew her gather to celebrate her life, they will reflect on her warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on their hearts.
