Following high school, he pursued a degree in history and vocational education at Wayne State College.
On June 20, 1970, Bob married Linda Dostal at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells. The couple settled in Blair, where they raised their children and built a strong network of lifelong friends. Shortly after their marriage, Bob began his teaching career at Blair High School, where he played a pivotal role in developing the vocational department and the drafting program. His dedication to his students was evident in his respectful demeanor and sense of humor, qualities that continue to resonate with those he taught.
Beyond his role as an educator, Bob was actively involved in various community organizations. He volunteered his time with the Blair Little League, supported activities at St. Francis Borgia Church, and contributed to the Blair Community Schools. His passion for woodworking, stamp collecting, and outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing reflected his diverse interests.
Bob was also an avid sports fan, frequently attending Creighton basketball and Notre Dame football games. However, his greatest joy came from supporting his grandchildren in their various pursuits. Known affectionately as “Papa Bob,” he cherished family gatherings and vacations, making memories that will be treasured by his loved ones.
Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter Lisa Wolff (Jeremy) and son Jason Limbach (Brooke); and grandchildren Hannah, Olivia, Brianna, Sydney, Jenae, and Jackson.
