S. Chris “Sonny” Nicosia, aged 86, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. He leaves behind a legacy of family and community service, having made significant contributions to both his family and the city of St. Paul.
Born into a loving family, Chris was preceded in death by his children, Bobby, Dawn, and Kristi, as well as his sister, Tanny Armstrong. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Roxanne Nicosia, and his daughter, Lynne. The family also includes numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who cherished their time with him. Notable among them are Bob Pasiuk (Laura), Andrea Perzichilli (Marco), and Chris Pasiuk (Alison), among others.
Chris Nicosia was a prominent figure in his community, known for his entrepreneurial spirit. He owned and operated several businesses throughout his life, which showcased his dedication and hard work. His service to the public is highlighted by his tenure as a member of the St. Paul City Council during the 1980s and his contributions to the St. Paul Port Authority.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris enjoyed a rich personal life filled with hobbies and passions. He found joy in spending time at his cabin, traveling, golfing, and following NASCAR. His love for family and friends was evident, as he cherished every moment spent with them.
The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Lakeview Hospice and Care Apparent for their compassionate care during Chris’s final days. They also thanked everyone who visited and supported Chris, providing love and assistance in his time of need.
A service to celebrate Chris Nicosia’s life will be held on December 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear, Minnesota. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, allowing friends and family to pay their respects.
The passing of Chris Nicosia leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew him. His legacy of service, love, and dedication to family will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
