The upcoming matchup between defending champion Vandegrift and the formidable Dripping Springs team is particularly noteworthy. This rematch follows their season opener on August 29, 2023, in which Dripping Springs triumphed with a score of 41-14.
Ames, now a junior in his first season as a starting quarterback, has had an impressive year overall, with a total of 45 touchdowns and an average of 259 passing yards per game.
