Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct After Panhandling Incident

A man was arrested for disorderly conduct on November 8, 2023, in Independence, Ohio, after gas station employees reported that he was panhandling and causing disturbances outside the store. Later that same day, at 10:12 a.m., the police were called to a hotel on Jefferson Avenue regarding a dispute between a man and a woman in the lobby. Officers arrived and found the woman still on site, while the man was located a short distance away.

Upon searching him, police discovered a handgun, which was confiscated for safety reasons. The man was arrested due to an outstanding warrant issued by the Berea Police Department and was subsequently handed over to their officers for processing.
