The driver initially denied consuming alcohol but later admitted to drinking three beers while at the hotel. His passenger claimed she had consumed approximately two glasses of wine. Later that same day, at 10:12 a.m., the police were called to a hotel on Jefferson Avenue regarding a dispute between a man and a woman in the lobby. Officers arrived and found the woman still on site, while the man was located a short distance away.
Upon searching him, police discovered a handgun, which was confiscated for safety reasons. The man was arrested due to an outstanding warrant issued by the Berea Police Department and was subsequently handed over to their officers for processing.
