Among the notable signings is Mitchell, a linebacker from Meridian High in Meridian, Idaho. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 200 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 3 prospect from Idaho by the 247Sports composite. Mitchell previously committed to Boise State but ultimately chose Utah. In his senior season, he recorded a total of 52 tackles, three tackles for loss, three sacks, and one interception, showcasing his defensive prowess.
Another significant addition is Sparks Jr., an offensive lineman from V. Sue Cleveland High in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. At 6 feet 4 inches and 280 pounds, he is recognized as the top prospect from New Mexico by the 247Sports composite. Sparks Jr. selected Utah over offers from Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Arizona State. He is also an accomplished shot put athlete, having won the New Mexico 5A state title with a throw of 16.44 meters.
The Utes also secured a commitment from Fisher, a tight end from Queen Creek High in Arizona. At 6 feet 5 inches and 235 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 35 prospect from Arizona. Fisher chose Utah over schools such as Arizona, BYU, and North Carolina. In his senior season, he had impressive statistics with 38 receptions for 415 yards and two touchdowns.
Additionally, Waters, a cornerback from Fort Bend Marshall High in Missouri City, Texas, has joined the Utes. Weighing in at 175 pounds and standing 6 feet 1 inch tall, he is ranked as the No. 214 player from Texas, making his commitment to Utah noteworthy. Waters was highly sought after, choosing the Utes over UCLA, and is ranked as the No. 127 cornerback nationally.
