WEMADE Unveils Global Release of MMORPG Legend of YMIR

South Korean developer WEMADE has officially launched its new fantasy MMORPG, Legend of YMIR, available for players worldwide on both PC and mobile platforms. This global release follows the game’s successful debut in South Korea and introduces two versions: a traditional “Web2” version and a blockchain-enabled “Web3” version via the company’s WEMIX PLAY platform.

Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Legend of YMIR immerses players in a narrative steeped in Norse mythology. The game features five distinct playable classes — Berserker, Warlord, Skald, Völva, and Archer — each offering unique combat styles. Players engage in manual control and timing-based battles, although an auto-combat option is available for convenience. Despite this feature, WEMADE emphasizes that player skill is crucial for progression and success in player-versus-player (PvP) encounters.

Multilingual Support and Global Accessibility

At launch, Legend of YMIR supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional), Portuguese, Russian, and Thai. Regional servers are set up across Asia, North America and Europe (NAEU), and South America, allowing players to seamlessly access their accounts on both PC and mobile devices.

With a long-term slogan of “Share the Loot, Share the Glory,” WEMADE aims to empower players with increased influence over their in-game communities. The new Partner’s Server feature allows player groups to bid for server operation rights, enabling them to manage community events and share in the revenue generated. Additionally, content creators can access dedicated Streamer Partner’s Servers through a management program called SSS (Streamer Supporting System), which provides essential tools and resources for hosting events.

Innovative Features and Competitive Play

Large-scale server-versus-server battles are scheduled to take place every two weeks, culminating in the highly anticipated YMIR Cup, an international esports tournament set for early 2026 in Hong Kong. Players can also benefit from Play-and-Earn mechanics through the use of WEMIX tokens, where rewards are linked to in-game achievements and competitive performance.

To celebrate the game’s launch, WEMADE has initiated a series of promotional events. One notable event is the two-week Lucky Totem challenge, which offers players opportunities to win prizes through gameplay. Additionally, an airdrop will distribute NFT in-game items to WEMIX PLAY members, and milestone-based challenges will provide players with high-tier rewards.

As Legend of YMIR opens its doors to a global audience, WEMADE is poised to capture the interest of both casual and competitive gamers alike, further solidifying its position in the rapidly evolving world of online gaming.
