30-Year-Old Arrested for Deadly West Fort Worth Shooting

UPDATE: A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in West Fort Worth on December 12, 2023. Kareem Hardin was apprehended by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Intel and Directed Response Units on Tuesday, and he remains in Tarrant County Jail with no bail set as of Wednesday morning.

This urgent development comes after a shooting incident that left 24-year-old Lawrence Homan dead. Police report that the shooting happened at approximately 4:40 a.m. at an apartment complex located in the 6400 block of Wildwood Circle.

According to police statements, Homan and a woman had driven a female acquaintance to the complex when they were confronted by Hardin and another unidentified suspect. In a shocking turn of events, one of the suspects brandished a gun and fired at Homan as he attempted to drive away, ultimately striking him. Homan was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
