UPDATE: Anson Mount has just shared a heartfelt Thanksgiving greeting with fans as filming for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds nears its completion. Production is rapidly approaching the end, with only the sixth and final episode left to film, targeting wrap-up in December 2025.
In a touching moment, Mount took to his Instagram account to wish fans a Happy Thanksgiving while leaving his trailer on set. He was seen embracing co-star Jess Bush before joining producing director Chris Fisher to continue their work at CBS Stages in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The urgency of this production is heightened as the cast and crew chose to work through the Thanksgiving holiday, recognizing that Canadian Thanksgiving already occurred in October. Mount, appearing more rested than in previous posts, plans to return home to Nashville, Tennessee, for a belated Thanksgiving celebration before resuming filming on Monday.
As production wraps, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is already confirmed for a fourth season set to premiere in 2026, with a fifth season expected in 2027. This means fans can look forward to a total of 16 new episodes despite the bittersweet conclusion of current filming.
At the recent ST: CHI – Trek to Chicago convention, cast member Christina Chong expressed the emotional weight of nearing the end, stating, “We are just almost finishing. We’re about to start shooting the last episode of Strange New Worlds. How crazy is that?”
Stay tuned for updates as the excitement builds around the conclusion of filming and the future of the Star Trek universe.
