BREAKING: Bryan Edward Carpentier, age 81, of Iron River, Wisconsin, has passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by his family. This deeply felt loss marks the end of a life dedicated to family, community, and service.
Carpentier, born in Southington, Connecticut, was a beloved figure known for his creativity, wit, and generosity. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness that touched the lives of many. His family described him as gentle, humble, and devoted, and his absence will be profoundly felt.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Margie, children Robert (Jenny) Carpentier, David (Susan) Carpentier, and Wendy (Jeff) Gunderson, along with grandchildren Zoe (Jared), Kayla (Omar), Jacob (Emily), Skylar (Eric), Zachary, Rylee, and McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Gloria, and his parents.
Carpentier proudly served in the Air Force and the 148th Fighter Wing Minnesota Air National Guard for over 26 years. His commitment to his community was evident through his active involvement in local organizations, including the Trinity Free Masonic Lodge #282 for over 54 years and Shriners International.
A highlight of his community service was his volunteer work with the Bentleyville City of Duluth Holiday Lights Display, where he served for over 17 years in various capacities, including Electrical, Santa, and Marketing teams. His contributions to this festive tradition brought joy to countless families.
