Denver’s Christkindl Market Launches 25th Year at Tivoli Quad

UPDATE: Denver’s beloved Christkindl Market has officially kicked off its **25th anniversary** at the **Tivoli Quad** on the **Auraria campus**, marking a significant expansion for this festive event. Just opened to the public, the market now features **over 40 vendors** and is anticipated to attract even more than last year’s **350,000 visitors**.

With the move from **Civic Center Park**, vendors are reveling in the increased space. “Everybody’s always hungry for a pretzel,” said vendor **Leon Speth**, highlighting the market’s culinary delights. **Josh Bryant**, another vendor, shared his excitement about selling traditional European foods, including the popular **Schmalzkuchen**, a classic German donut.

The atmosphere is vibrant, with vendors like **Blair Hamill** offering unique art pieces that evoke cherished memories of national parks and ski resorts. “I’m selling posters of various places that people love to visit,” Hamill noted.

Executive Director of the **German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado chapter**, **Samantha Seems**, expressed her optimism about the new venue, stating, “Vendors are loving it. We’re seeing that people are really excited to be in this new space.”

The sense of community among the vendors adds to the market’s charm. “We’re like a family around here,” Bryant explained. “A lot of the vendors I’ve known for over **10 years**.”

The Christkindl Market is a celebration of culture, food, and holiday spirit, expected to run through **December 23**. As crowds gather, the excitement is palpable, with returning and new visitors alike eager to embrace the holiday festivities.
