Just 13 seconds into the game, senior wide receiver Sabi Ruttgers electrified the crowd at Recht Field in Boulder, running 70 yards for a touchdown on the first play. Ruttgers ended the night with an astounding four touchdowns, demonstrating the Knights’ formidable offensive capabilities.
Junior quarterback Ki Ellison also shone brightly, throwing two touchdown passes to Ruttgers and contributing significantly to the team’s scoring onslaught. “It was just energy at practice every day, extra work… I think we’re just as good as last year,” Ellison stated, reflecting the team’s determination to make a deep playoff run.
