UPDATE: Two people tragically lost their lives in a multi-vehicle accident in Watertown around noon on Tuesday. Watertown Police confirmed that first responders arrived at the scene on Bigelow Avenue, where they discovered the victims had succumbed to their injuries sustained during the crash.
“This remains an active and ongoing investigation involving the Watertown Police and the Massachusetts State Police,” the department stated. “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.” Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to continue their work effectively.
In a separate but equally urgent matter, the U.S. Marshals and Massachusetts State Police have announced a renewed effort to locate Davinci Leonard, a suspect wanted for the double homicide of two teenagers in Brockton earlier this year. Leonard faces two counts of homicide for the deaths of Tymari Albertson, aged 15, and Cevannah Alvarez, aged 18, who were killed in March 2023.
The U.S. Marshals are offering a substantial reward of $7,500 for any information leading to Leonard’s capture, as he is believed to be potentially hiding in Haiti or the Dominican Republic. Authorities are intensifying their search and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
In the wake of these incidents, the Brockton Police Department reported responding to a staggering 229 incidents in just a 24-hour period ending at 10 a.m. Tuesday, including multiple arrests for aggravated assaults, thefts, and other crimes.
As the investigations unfold, the community is left grappling with the aftermath of these tragic events. Local officials emphasize the importance of public cooperation in solving these cases and seek to reassure residents of their safety.
Residents are urged to stay informed as these stories develop. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
