UPDATE: A crew from Omaha has just completed the installation of the LOVB Nebraska volleyball court at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, ensuring everything is in place for tonight’s highly anticipated match. The court, featuring a state-of-the-art TeraFlex surface, will provide a premier playing experience and is designed to minimize impact on athletes’ joints.
The installation was finalized just ahead of the match scheduled for 7 p.m. today, October 26, 2023. This will mark a significant moment for both players and fans as they gather to support their team. As Mo Mozena, event manager for LOVB Nebraska, explained, “Athletes play on a playing surface called the TeraFlex, which is a rubberized surface that is a little bit gentler on the muscles and the joints when they’re landing.” This innovation is expected to enhance player performance and safety during the game.
In addition to the new court, the Heartland Events Center has also introduced a temporary video board that will showcase highlights and replays throughout the match, elevating the viewing experience for fans in attendance.
For those unable to attend, Local 4’s pregame show starts at 6 p.m., with a streaming broadcast beginning at 6:30 p.m., leading directly into the game. Viewers can catch all the action live on sister station 10/11.
