Lynn Community Health Center Named Top 100 Women-Led Business

BREAKING: Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) has just been recognized as one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts, a prestigious honor awarded by The Women’s Edge in partnership with The Boston Globe. This is LCHC’s inaugural appearance on the list, coinciding with the program’s 25th anniversary, highlighting the crucial impact of women in leadership roles across the state.

Under the visionary leadership of CEO Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC has emerged as a beacon of innovation and equity in community health. Rodriguez, who has over a decade of experience in community health, previously served as the Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at Lowell Community Health Center. Her track record includes spearheading growth strategies and implementing equitable care practices that resonate deeply within the community.

What sets Rodriguez apart is her personal connection to community health care; she is a patient herself at a federally qualified health center. This unique perspective enables her to understand the challenges patients face, making her leadership particularly impactful. During her tenure, LCHC has significantly expanded access to essential services, forged robust community partnerships, and made strategic investments in financial and clinical sustainability.

“Receiving this recognition alongside so many trailblazing women is truly meaningful,” said Rodriguez. “This belongs to every woman who leads, innovates, and uplifts our mission across the community health center movement. It is an honor to see our work celebrated among organizations and businesses that are redefining the leadership landscape in Massachusetts.”

Drew Russo, Chair of the LCHC Board, praised Rodriguez, stating, “Brenda embodies the spirit and ambition of LCHC’s mission and values. Her lived experience, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to community-centered care give us great confidence in the path ahead. This recognition reflects not just her leadership, but the extraordinary dedication of our entire team.”

LCHC serves more than 46,000 patients annually, providing a wide range of services—including primary care, behavioral health, dental, and substance use services—regardless of patients’ ability to pay. With a workforce predominantly comprised of women and diverse at all levels, LCHC exemplifies inclusive leadership and community-focused excellence.

Ranked at #38 in its first year on the list, LCHC joins a distinguished group of organizations that are shaping the future of Massachusetts through purpose-driven, innovative, and inclusive leadership.
