In her post, she recounted the harrowing experience of evacuating their home due to the fire, stating, “I was 38 weeks pregnant and I had done an evacuation only a few weeks prior during the Franklin Fire as well.” She acknowledged the challenges they faced, reflecting on how they were “together, happy, healthy & safe, which is truly all that matters.”
In a twist of fate, Mariano mentioned that she considers the evacuation a “gift” that allowed her to prepare for the challenges ahead. She remarked on her gratitude for being able to evacuate during the daytime, which helped the family feel more prepared.
