Sally J. Ifkovits, Beloved Community Leader, Passes at 62

BREAKING NEWS: Sally J. Ifkovits, a cherished community member and dedicated professional, has passed away at the age of 62. She passed peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, surrounded by her loving family.

Sally’s legacy includes over 32 years at People First Federal Credit Union, where she rose from member services manager to card and ATM operations manager. Her impactful career and deep commitment to community service will be remembered by many.

Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, Sally was a daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. She celebrated 37 years of marriage with her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits. Together, they raised two sons, Riley and wife Kelly, and Alex and wife Anna. Her grandson, Paxton, was her pride and joy, bringing her immense happiness.

Sally’s family includes brothers Keith Rex and Kevin Rex (Karen), sister Susie Weber (Harold), and brother-in-law Garry Christman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her sister Jane and niece Adrienne.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in memory of Sally.
