BREAKING: The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has just announced the honorees for the highly anticipated 15th Annual Salute to Patriots, set to take place on October 4, 2025. This signature event honors veterans who exemplify remarkable dedication to both their nation and the local business community. The celebration kicks off at 4 p.m. at the SCV Senior Center at Bella Vida, with registration starting at 3:30 p.m..
The 2025 honorees include distinguished veterans: Camille Applin-Jones, Juan Blanco, Robert Lasher, Vernon Charles Miller, Anthony Straight, Deputy Keith Wells, and Eric White. This year’s selection highlights individuals who have served with exceptional distinction and continue to impact the community through their leadership and service.
“This year’s honorees represent the very best of Santa Clarita,” said Di Thompson, the 2025 chair of the SCV Chamber board.
“Salute to Patriots is both a tribute and a call to action, celebrating those who have given so much while inspiring others to follow their example.”
The nomination process saw community members and chamber affiliates submit names throughout October, honoring veterans who embody ongoing service beyond their military commitments. From a pool of nominations, seven exceptional veterans were chosen for recognition this year. Those not selected will remain eligible for future events, ensuring that every story of service is honored.
“Our veterans are pillars of our community,” stated Ivan Volschenk, president/CEO of the SCV Chamber.
“Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment remind us what true service means.”
