The Meridian Police Department and the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed multiple arrests and allegations of serious offenses that could affect community safety.
Between 6 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, and 6 a.m. Friday, December 4, the Meridian Police Department documented a range of incidents, including willful trespassing, stalking, and domestic violence. Notable arrests included a DUI at 4401 40th Ave. Apt. 10C and a disturbing case of simple assault on a minor reported at 4016 27th St..
The police also reported a troubling robbery on the evening of December 2 at approximately 7:33 p.m. in the 1500 block of 8th Avenue. On December 4, an 8:47 a.m. commercial burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Highway 39 North, raising concerns about local business security.
Meanwhile, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported alarming incidents during the same timeframe. Arrests included aggravated assault and armed robbery, with suspects facing significant charges for controlled substance violations and felon in possession of a firearm on December 2.
On December 3, law enforcement apprehended individuals on foreign warrants for various offenses, including possession of fentanyl. The Sheriff’s Department also reported cases of identity theft on Courthouse Blvd and petit larceny incidents across multiple locations including Pine Springs Rd and McCraw Rd.
