Join the Festivities at St. Urho’s Dinner Dance on March 14

A vibrant celebration of Finnish-American culture is set to take place on **March 14, 2024**. The **St. Urho’s Dinner Dance** will be held from **16:00 to 20:00** at the Finnish Center located at **Saima Park** in **Fitchburg**. This annual event pays tribute to **St. Urho**, a fictional hero celebrated in Finnish folklore for driving grasshoppers out of Finland and safeguarding the grape harvest.

Attendees can look forward to a hearty dinner, which includes appetizers, Swedish meatballs served with mashed potatoes, butternut squash, pickled beets, cranberry sauce, as well as bread and butter. Dessert and coffee or tea will be provided to round off the meal. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverages, as the event is **BYOB**.

The evening will be filled with entertainment, featuring music from the **Central Mass Accordion Club**. In addition, **Leila Luopa**, director of the **Revontulet Folk Dancers**, will lead some dancing, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the evening.

Beyond music and dancing, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a creative activity by decorating a hat. A game with prizes will also be part of the festivities, adding an extra layer of fun to the evening.
