The Carthage Community Foundation (CCF) has announced the opening of its spring grant application period, beginning on March 16, 2024. Non-profit organizations classified under 501(c)3, as well as other IRS-approved entities such as civic, educational, and faith-based groups serving the Carthage area, are invited to apply for funding.
Applications can be accessed online at http://www.cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. All submissions must be completed and submitted online by 11:45 PM on April 9, 2024. The foundation aims to support initiatives that improve the quality of life for Carthage residents and address both existing and emerging community needs.
Funding Focus Areas and Grant Details
CCF emphasizes projects in several key areas: Health & Human Services, Education & Youth Services, Arts, Culture, History & Community Beautification, and Food & Nutrition. While the foundation prefers to fund one-time initiatives and capital or equipment purchases, it will consider operating expenses if applicants present a compelling case.
Individuals or organizations can request up to $10,000 per application. In addition, during this grant cycle, applications will also be accepted for the Vivian Leon Fund for the Musical Arts. This fund specifically targets 501(c)3 organizations, schools, and colleges that provide classical music programs to communities in Jasper and Newton Counties, particularly those focused on piano performance. The suggested grant amount for this fund ranges from $1,000 to $4,000, with the same application deadline of April 9, 2024.
Anticipated Outcomes and Next Steps
Grant announcements are expected in mid-May, providing successful applicants the opportunity to implement their projects soon after. The CCF encourages organizations to apply, particularly those offering innovative solutions that enhance community life in Carthage.
As the deadline approaches, interested parties are advised to review the specific guidelines and prepare their applications to ensure they meet the required criteria. The foundation’s commitment to community enrichment continues to foster growth and development in the region, enhancing the lives of its citizens through targeted support.
